Just Pain

She’s so delicate in her ways
Tries to forget yesterdays
Upon nothing does she blame
Only whispers it’s just pain

She’s been pushed to compromise
It weighs heavy in her sullen eyes
She’s not sure if she’s still sane
Only knows it's just pain

She understands and comprehends
The means are present in the ends
She’s too worn to play the game
Her soul reveals it’s just pain

She often wonders how and why
She’ll leave this earth through the sky
For now she does not complain
She accepts it’s just pain
