Wed, April 23, 9pm EDT - The Jimi Hendrix Experience: Electric Ladyland

The third and final album by The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Electric Ladyland finds Hendrix exceeding the boundaries set by his two previous albums. He and engineer Eddie Kramer pull out all the the stops and utilize the studio as if it's another member of the band on their way to creating a truly unique and mind blowing work of art. From the bluesy Voodoo Chile to the rocking Voodoo Child (Slight Return) Electric Ladyland takes you from here to there and then back again.  Can't wait to hear everyone's thoughts as we listen to this gem.

Yeah, definitely tragic. I try to just be thankful for what he was able to do in such a short time. One can only imagine what else he would have done had he had more time.

Love the way they take advantage of the full stereo spectrum. A lot of panning back and forth keeps it real interesting

I like this track but I generally like his more straightforward rock stuff better. It's all brilliant though of course
